Sky Views Observatory in Dubai is an innovative destination for unique thrilling adventures. Sky Edge Walk, the one of its kind in the region, is the city’s highest full circle hands-free walk on a ledge which encircles the top of the Tower’s main pod. The other adrenaline pumping experience is the Glass Slide, a transparent tube that wraps around the tower’s exterior linking level 53 with level 52 below.
Challenge
Owing to the nature of the adventures that the two activities offer, there are extensive safety instructions that the visitors must adhere to. Client was looking for an interactive way to ensure that the thrill seekers listen to and understand the instructions.
Solution
We created 3D videos for Edgewalk and Glass slide in both English and Arabic. The process involved visiting the activities, understanding the safety instructions provided by the staff and then proceeding with the script and storyboard. Different 3D characters were created for both, rigged and then animated as per the storyboard. Animated videos provided an interesting alternate to just hearing about the instructions and client made sure that no instruction is missed.
